About

Selin Alemdar
I was born and raised in Istanbul, where I graduated from The Italian High School. My passion for photography led me to Rome, where I studied at Istituto Superiore di Fotografia from 2000 to 2003. Initially aspiring to be a director of photography in cinema, I discovered that my true calling is as a photographer, although my love for cinema remains strong.
In 2005, I enhanced my creative skills by taking a fashion stylist course at Istituto Europeo di Design in Rome. This experience opened doors for me, and in 2006, I interned at Giovanni Gastel’s studio in Milan.
From 2012 to 2016, I worked as a photographer for Getty Images, focusing on entertainment activities in both Milan and Istanbul. My work has been featured in several prestigious publications, including Marie Claire, Elle TR, Harper’s Bazaar TR, The New York Times, Skylife, Maxim, Gioia, Corriere della Sera, L’Officiel TR and Vogue TR.
Currently, I live in Milan, where I continue my photography career, blending my passion for visual storytelling with my experiences in portrait, lifestyle and fashion.
